Bryn Athyn, PA 19009
Cairnwood is located in Historic Bryn Athyn Pennsylvania near the border of Bucks and Montgomery counties. The grounds are 16 miles from center city Philadelphia and are easily accessible from Interstate 95 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Carinwood is part of a private college campus and shares its grounds with the Castle-like Glencairn museum and the Bryn Athyn Cathedral. Next to the estate are the pristine woodlands of the Pennypack preserve, that serves as the anchor to this graceful campus of architectural wonders.
Inside the heart of Cairnwood is the Great Hall, a spacious and sunny room rising two stories. The hall is framed by a large formal staircase which leads to the second floor balcony and bridal suite. Three high arched French doors open on to the terrace and the dramatic lawn beyond.
The fine craftsmanship and architectural details-from the intricately carved fireplaces to the hand crafted oak bookcases in the library provide the space and ambiance for events of up to 250 guests.
Cairnwood features an immaculately appointed Groom’s room and a beautiful bridal suite. The romantic dressing suite for the bride offers an intimate moment for quiet reflection on the window seat, with a view of the wrought iron balcony, colorful blooms and the woodland beyond.
